Mi Querida Triqui Traca by Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust

There are bold cigars and then there are BOLD cigars. This particular Maduro is bold while being incredibly balanced. Mi Querida Triqui Traca (pronounced “me kay-ree-dah tree-kee trah-ka”) uses a Connecticut Broadleaf No. 1 grade dark leaf wrapped around a Nicaraguan Binder and multiple country fillers. The result is a tasty, full-flavored, full-bodied, medium-plus to full cigar. The color of the leaf and the dark red label set off an eye-catching appearance.

The origin of this cigar is rather interesting and is not only owed to Steve Saka. Each year Dave Garofalo of 2 guys smoke shop and the Cigar Authority releases a vitola he calls the ‘Firecracker.’ The annual release features a different blender and highlights a strong, full bodied blend. in 2019, Saka took his blend, the Mi Querida, and tweaked it, making pack more of a punch. Hence, the Trigui Traca was born. The release was widely received and sought after. This caused Saka to add it to his portfolio as a brand extension.

Today, the Mi Querida Triqui Traca is a perfect fit to his lineup, pushing his portfolio to the limits in strength and flavor. There are a wide variety of sizes the Triqui Traca is released in, but perhaps those of special note are the 6×52, 5×52, and the new 4×48.
