It is wrapped in a gorgeous four-year-aged San Andrés Maduro leaf that immediately stands out with its dark, oily appearance.

The story behind the 401 Conejos is inspired by ancient Aztec mythology; the “400 rabbits,” known as the Centzon Totochtin, were believed to be the mischievous children of Mayahuel, the goddess of agave. Legend says that each rabbit represented a different personality brought out by agave spirits. The reason this cigar is called the 401 Conejos is because it was created to stand apart from the rest — the one rabbit meant to be appreciated slowly and savored for its uniqueness. Adding to its exclusivity, while only 250 boxes were shipped to the United States in the first allocation, more will be coming, but OGT Cigars was able to land the initial drop!

Beneath the beautiful San Andrés Maduro wrapper is a Nicaraguan binder paired with premium fillers from Estelí, Jalapa, and Condega. The result is a medium to medium-plus bodied cigar packed with rich complexity and smooth balance. The box is absolutely gorgeous. Each cigar is placed in 10-count boxes and carefully packaged in separate ‘coffins’.
