Made at Fábrica de Tabacos Nica Sueño S.A. in Nicaragua, the same factory that produces Roma Craft, the blend offers a dark, highly expressive Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper backed by an Indonesian binder and filler combination of the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Co-founder Mike Szczepankiewicz explains that his choice of the Corona Gorda vitola was deliberate, intended to showcase the wrapper and allow the blend’s texture and depth to be more easily appreciated while still presenting a product that is accessible and elegant.

At first light there is a blast of cocoa, espresso, and earthy sweetness, all of which are contributed by the San Andrés wrapper. As the cigar continues, the flavor components of black pepper, roasted coffee, and toasted wood become quite prominent, while a mild natural sweetness is discernible, keeping the whole profile from swinging too far in any one direction. While the experience is very smooth, it also provides a medium-to-full-bodied experience with a pleasant burn and a clean, quite persistent finish.
