The Jolly Walleye Cigar possesses the very soul of Lure Cigars. The brand’s creator, Lou Cross III, named it after his father, Lou Cross Jr., who also loved fishing and a good cigar. Naming it “Jolly Walleye” was a reference to one of his father’s favorite meals—a walleye pike, which was usually served at a traditional Friday night fish fry. This sentiment even helped inspire the blend, which has become one of the Lure stable’s favorites. The Lure Jolly Walleye Robusto Extra features a Nicaraguan Habano 2000 as the wrapper, with the binder from Ometepe and the filler a blend of Estelí, Jalapa, and Ometepe.
