Stallone Clydesdale Shaggy Foot by Stallone Cigars

Stallone Cigars is one of those brands that has something to offer everyone. Stallone Cigars has a vast portfolio, from their Connecticut Shade Palomino cigar to the Corojo, Maduro, and even Broadleaf. Among their Cowboy Series, six different blends, they have a regular production of Sumatra called the Pony and a limited called the Cyldesdale. Like the horse that bears the name, the Clydesdale is a sizable cigar with a shaggy foot at the bottom. Released as a limited production, this bold-looking cigar offers a unique experience not to be taken lightly.

The Stallone Clydesdale is a 6.5×60 Shaggy foot wrapped in a one-of-a-kind Nicaraguan Broadleaf from AJ Fernandez. The binder and filler are also from Nicaragua. Tony Barrios, owner, and blender of Stallone Cigars, said this unique wrapper offers the flavor and quality unmatched by many other Nicaraguan Broadleafs. Part of why this cigar is limited is because there is a finite amount of wrapper leaf available. Unfortunately, he has sampled other Nica Broadleaf wrappers, and they don’t live up to the excellence he is hunting for. He says, “If the fertilizer or fermentation is changed, it will not taste the same. It is not the same quality I am looking for.”

In terms of the smoke, this cigar looks a lot stronger than it is. While it is a darker, larger cigar, it’s very smooth. I would say it is medium strength while offering a full body and full flavor. Notes of coffee are very prominent in this cigar, along with wood, earth, light cherries, and smooth sweetness. I have paired this with coffee and spirits; both work well. However, if you coupled this with baileys infused coffee, I think you would be happy with the results.
