Each year Matt Booth releases an anniversary stick to commemorate his time in the industry and the Room 101 brand. One of the first sticks to fall in this category is the 10th Anniversary cigar. It is no secret Matt Booth has a flair for graphic design, and the labels on the 10th Anniversary are no exception. The striking white band offset with the black Room 101 logo and a bleeding gold leaf sets the cigar beautifully. However, Room 101 is more than just a pretty face. The blend of the 10th Anniversary is truly special.
Rolled at the AJ Fernandez factory in Esteli’ Nicaragua, the 10th Anniversary uses a Nicaraguan Habano Rosado leaf, with a binder from Indonesia, and fillers from Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, and Pennsylvania. This multi-country blend is perfectly balanced and lands somewhere in the full-bodied, medium-plus strength category. As far the flavor one might find in this cigar? Warm is a great way to describe it. I would further say there are prominent notes of coffee, nuts, cereal, leather, cinnamon, and oak, with slight hints of sweetness.
The Room 101 10Th Anniversary is a must-try for those who love Matt Booth’s blending style, AJ’s tobacco, and complexity. Honestly, this one is a heavy hitter. Enjoy my friend.
