Rojas Street Tacos Al Pastor Toro

We are so excited to have Rojas Cigars and Rojas Street Tacos Cigars back in the humidor here at Oak Glen Tobacconist! Street Tacos have always been a favorite of mine, and since we last had them here, a new taco has arrived in town. Well, at least new from last year. The Rojas Street Taco Al Pastor Habano has joined the portfolio and is now here at OGT Cigars. The Al Pastor cigar is bold, balanced, and full in flavor.

Rojas Cigars kicked off the Street Tacos series back in 2020 with Barbacoa, and the lineup has kept growing with blends named after classic taco fillings. The latest is Rojas Street Taco Al Pastor, the fourth blend in the series and only the third regular production release. The name comes from the pork used in al pastor tacos, which is roasted a lot like shawarma, with the meat stacked on a spinning vertical spit and carved off as it cooks. The Rojas Al Pastor Cigar is made at the Rojas Cigar Factory in Nicaragua.

The blend sports a silky Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over a Mexican San Andres binder, with fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. That mix of origins is a big part of what makes the Street Tacos line complex and rich in signature flavor. At light, there is a mouthwatering peppery note mixed with intense earth, leather, savoriness, and a complex cedar, followed by burnt ends and sweetness. Overall, this cigar delivers an impressiv full-flavored palate ina medium to medium-plus strength.
