Dunbarton Tobacco And Trust Spicy Beef Stick, The Newest RML From Steve Saka

One of Steve Saka’s favorite creations is the unique Connecticut Broadleaf Smorgasbord Red Meat Lovers. Earlier this year, he added his newest project to his portfolio: the Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust Red Meat Lovers Spicy Beef Stick. This is an ‘amped-up’ version of the original recipe. It also uses the same blend as the favorite Red Meat Lovers Fritanga; however, it comes in a round Parejo vitola. It takes the popular Beef Stick format and pairs it with the bolder, spicier Fritanga blend to create a cigar that’s rich, flavorful, and full of personality.

The Red Meat Lovers line first debuted in 2019 through a collaboration between Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust, Smoke Inn, and the Red Meat Lovers Club. What started as a limited project quickly became a favorite among cigar enthusiasts and eventually earned a permanent place in the Dunbarton portfolio. The new Spicy Beef Stick continues that tradition by bringing the acclaimed Fritanga blend to the unique 6 x 48 Beef Stick vitola, complete with its signature flat cap and closed foot. Wrapped in Connecticut Broadleaf over a Mexican San Andrés binder with Nicaraguan and Pennsylvania tobaccos, this cigar might be the boldest from the line.

Right from the first light, you’ll notice a bold burst of black pepper followed by layers of dark chocolate, espresso, oak, and earthy richness. As the cigar continues, the spice becomes more refined, allowing subtle sweetness, leather, and savoriness to come forward. The Broadleaf wrapper adds just enough natural sweetness to balance the blend, creating a full-flavored smoke that’s rich without becoming overpowering.
