Welcome to the August 2026 box for the OGT Cigar of the Month Club, the OGT Variety Club. Some new things, some exclusive things, and some all-time favorites are packed in this month’s drop! I tried to curate some of the most interesting cigars, along with many new releases. This Cigar Club is all about exploring new blends and the craft of cigar making. This special box doesn’t just highlight the cigars you NEED to smoke, but also the rare ones others don’t get to smoke!

OGT Cigars has a new brand in the humidor: Valacari Cigars! We hand-picked one of our favorites from their portfolio, the Valacari Astronomia Connecticut Broadleaf! This is a special one. I was also able to snag the limited edition Black Label Trading Company Bishop’s Blend 2026 for this box. And I am so excited for the third release from the Shadow Factory! Yes! Another blend, our third, from the Shadow Factory in Nicaragua!

Part of my job here at OGT Cigars is to find the magnificent blends to smoke! Whether that is found in boutique cigar companies, cigars sourced directly from factories, or even OGT Exclusives! This third blend is perhaps the most aggressive blend from the factory yet. Its shape is gorgeous, a 6×52 Box Pressed Torpedo. I hope you enjoy this very limited highlight. The Focus is more on the experience than the origin. Ignite this intense, complex, and incredible cigar found only in the OGT Variety Club for this month’s box!

“This is the third and maybe the last for a while from the Shadow Factory.  I can’t confirm or deny who makes this cigar, but it’s one of Nicaragua’s most popular factories. Definitely the most aggressive from the releases, Deep Cover is aptly named for the depth of flavor and body you get from this cigar. In the midst of the chaos of everything, try to stay calm and smoke one! Intense notes of cinnamon, pepper, earth, fig, smokey wood, barnyard, and light sweetness.”

“Valicari Astronomia Connecticut Broadleaf is perhaps their most full-bodied cigar in the portfolio. The Astronomia is draped in American-grown Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro. The filler is comprised of all Nicaraguan-sourced tobaccos. Beautifully blended to complement the binder and wrapper. Astronomia delivers notes of dark cocoa, espresso, cedar, and black pepper. As it continues, flavors of leather, earth, roasted nuts, and subtle baking spices begin to emerge, while a natural sweetness lingers in the background to tie everything together.”

Celebrating the 10th anniversary of this blend, this is one of the most sought-after runs BLTC makes! This is a slightly ‘tweaked’ version sporting a dual wrapper of oily Ecuadorian Maduro and Connecticut Broadleaf. By far, this is the limited edition from Black Label Trading Co. I look forward to it the most.

“Okay, this is a very special one. Viaje cigars are so limited that we never thought we would be able to put one in the Variety Club. However, we decided to make things interesting! This month, Viaje cigars released their famed Skull and Bones line inspired by the Marvel Ghost Rider Theme. There are three unique blends: Johnny Blaze, Ghost Rider, and Mephisto. While there wasn’t enough of each blend for the membership, there was enough if we divided all three blends among the members! That’s right, it’s the luck of the draw on which one you might have received! I can say that these blends are among my favorites in past Viaje Skull and Bones releases!

To date, there have been 109 documented sightings. What lurks in the deep? Big Sky Cigar, Co. would like to introduce you to Cryptid. It’s a bigger cigar with bigger flavor. Intense notes of Pepper spice, oak, musty earth, singed browny, coffee bean, and light sweetness.”
