Cigar Of The Month Club OGT Variety Club July 2026

Welcome to the July 2026 box for the OGT Cigar of the Month Club, the OGT Variety Club. This is a BANGER set! I think this month’s box is jam-packed with absolute winners! I tried to curate some of the most interesting cigars and many new releases. This Cigar Club is all about exploring new blends and the craft of cigar making. This special box doesn’t just highlight the cigars you NEED to smoke, but also the rare ones others don’t get to smoke!

Let’s take a quick overview of what’s in this month’s selection, shall we? First off, the El mago Tin Series duo! Yes, both are in this one: the Jug San Andres Maduro and Cavalry Corojo! We also have the newest and most sought-after Crowned Heads Moonflower! And, I am so excited for this, the continuation in the exploration of the Shadow Factory! Yes! Another blend, our second, from the Shadow Factory in Nicaragua!

Part of my job here at OGT Cigars is to find the magnificent blends to smoke! Whether that is found in boutique cigar companies, cigars sourced directly from factories, or even OGT Exclusives! This second blend is a beautiful 6×54 box-pressed Habano. We call it the Butterfly Effect. Now, I am unable to say which factory it is because the factory told me we must keep it hush-hush. I can say it is in Nicaragua and is one of the biggest blenders in the business! This is a factory I am so blessed to work with; however, it must be kept a secret. So, for all intents and purposes, we here at OGT Cigars have come to call it the ‘Shadow Factory’. The Focus is more on the experience than the origin. Ignite this intense, complex, and incredible cigar found only in the OGT Variety Club for this month’s box!

No. 1 – Crowned Heads Moonflower Size May Vary

PAIRING HINT – Lightly Sweet Chai Tea

•Wrapper Nicaraguan Corojo Seed
•Binder Nicaragua
•Filler Nicaragua
•Blender Pepin Garcia at the My Father Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua

“This seems to be the most popular and sought after Crowned Heads cigars. Blended by the Garcia family at the My Father Factory in Nicaragua! The Crowned Heads Moonflower features a beautiful Nicaraguan Corojo seed wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos! Light sweetness and roasted nuts lead the charge on the flavor profile, followed by baking spices, creaminess, and cedar. This is a brilliantly crafted, medium-strength cigar with an amazing sweetness.”

No. 2 – Shadow Factory Butterfly Effect Toro 6×54

•Wrapper Habano
•Binder Nicaragua
•Filler Nicaragua
•Undisclosed Blender from the ‘Shadow’ Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.

“Okay, so this is a very, very special cigar. I can’t confirm or deny who makes this cigar, but it’s one of Nicaragua’s most popular factories. Wrapped in a silky Habano wrapper, this one-of-a-kind cigar offers a very special experience. I have discovered so few of these cigars that I didn’t have enough to place them in the OGT Cigar Society, but I did for the OGT Variety Club! Congratulations, Variety members, we have an exclusive! At light up, it has a blast of pepper spice followed by charred oak, cardamom, umami, cedar, and light sweetness.”

No. 3 – El Mago The Jug Tin Series Robusto 5×50

PAIRING HINT – Whistle Pig Rye 10 Year

•Wrapper Mexican San Andres Maduro
•Binder Nicaragua
•Filler Nicaragua
•Blender MGE Cigars Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua

“El Mago Cigars has really made an impression, and so I had to put their newest releases in the Tin Series in this month’s box, no matter how limited they might be! The first of which is the stringer, fuller-bodied jug. El Mago Jug is an ultra-limited edition cigar part of their S-Tier program. This incredible blend brings new meaning to limited-edition and rich flavor! Using a dark San Andres Maduro, this blend is powerful, balanced, and complex.”

No. 4 – El Mago Cavalry Tin Series Robusto 5×50

•Wrapper Nicaraguan Corojo
•Binder Nicaragua
•Filler Nicaragua
•Blender MGE Cigars Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua

“The second blend in the El Mago Tin series is the El Mago Cavalry. To my knowledge, this is the first Corojo seed blend from El Mago. Honestly, I can’t say which of the two tin blends is my favorite. It might not be as strong, but the flavor runs deep and full with notes of white pepper, baking spices, hints of custard, berries, roasted nuttiness, and light sweetness.”

No. 5 – Domain Attenuation His Eminence Shaggy Foot Belicoso 6×54

•Wrapper Connecticut ‘Casjuca’ Seed
•Binder Nicaragua
•Filler Nicaragua
•Blender Esteban Disla at Tabacalera Familia Disla S.A.

“The newest, more refined blend from Domain Cigars is their new execution of a Connecticut Cigar. Using a special ‘Casjuca’ varietal from Connecticut seed, this leaf is grown on only one farm in Ecuador and is limited to 1,000 acres. Inside, the Domain Attenuation boasts a special combination of Nicaraguan fillers, one of which is the Domain proprietary leaf called Vanguard, a hybrid that crosses Corojo and Criollo 98. The palate is elegant and rich with notes of cinnamon, custard, creaminess, baking spices, vanilla, and light sweetness. By far, I feel like this is Domain’s most refined cigar.”
