Paul Stulac Heavy Hitter OGT Cigars Exclusive

It’s someone what of a sad announcement, because this is it, the last of the Paul Stulac Heavy Hitter! I was digging around the humidor and uncovered a surprise! There were a few Heavy Hitters left! This magnificent blend is definitely on the ‘stronger’ side of Maduro cigars. While the past projects we have done together have showcased Connecticut Broadleaf, I wanted to lean toward something like his Fantasma. Its depth of flavor, strength in profile, and all-around complexity are pretty impressive. Last year, during a live podcast, Paul and I shared how much we love classic film and cigars throughout movie history. From all these ideas, Heavy Hitter was born.

This limited run was created solely as an OGT Cigar Society project. Crafted as an ode to the film Raging Bull, Heavy Hitter is bold, full of flavor, and capped with a satisfying smoke output. Rolled as a 6×47 Parejo vitola, Heavy Hitter features a dark Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Nicaragua. Deep notes of pepper spice hit from light up along with dark fruits, toasted breadiness, roasted nuts, dark chocolate, earth, and light sweetness.

In a press statement, we released the following on this new project: “We both share a love and passion for the silver screen, and this cigar embodies what we love in classic cigar movie scenes. Somewhat a salute to the movie ‘Raging Bull’, Heavy Hitter is a dark, robust, Ecuadorian Maduro with full Nicaraguan fillers. From its pepper kick upfront to deep notes of dark fruits, anise, toasted bread, dark chocolate, earthy undertones, and a lasting sweetness, this cigar is one of a kind. I hope you enjoy this as much as Paul and I do.”
