OGT Cigars Drops First Installment for Order Of The Chaveta, The Emerald Knight

I want you to join me on a quest. Here at OGT Cigars, we strive to bring new experiences in the cigar world delivered to your door. This includes incredible blends, exclusive projects, and ways for you to expand your palate through taste and experience. Beginning this year, we are setting out on a journey to take it to the next level. But to do that, I have to give you a bit of background. My brother and I have always had a fondness for medieval lore. This translates through the art he conjures from idea to paper. I am always searching for the next ‘best’ cigar experience. These two concepts merged, and I now give you our next project: The Order of the Chaveta.

A Chaveta is the iconic tobacco knife rollers used to cut wrapper and binder leaves in the rolling process.

During this year, OGT Cigars will release 5 collectible cigars that make up this very special order. The Order is a band of Knights that live through tobacco legend and art. Each Knight represents a unique, elevated blend, marked by their color and title. As an Order of Knights, they guard the history and traditions of cigar makers across time. They guard the sacred code of those worthy enough to hold the tobacco Chaveta. These five Knights (Blends) are represented by various cigar makers, creating the ultimate cigar-smoking experience. Emerald, Crimson, Onyx, Sapphire, and Gold all make up this Order of the Chaveta. All Knights once marched together, but they have been scattered across time and space. It is our quest to bring them back together!

These cigars will be released in various ways: the OGT Cigar Society, the OGT Variety Club, and very limited special-edition drops. If you are part of the OGT Cigar Society, you will have a distinct advantage in collecting them all, since a good number will be featured in the membership. The first arrives this month in the OGT Cigar Society. This is the Emerald Knight, the Trailblazer! The Emerald Knight is the Order’s scout, the navigator, the one who charts the path. Bold and complex, he takes us to places we have not gone before. The blend is a 3-year-aged Brazilian Habano (A tobacco we have never worked with before) over a Nicaraguan binder, with Esteli and Jalapa fillers. The green in the Emerald color is a nod to the Brazilian flag. It is released in one size: a 5×54 Robusto. This is a blend we have discovered from the Valicari Factory in Nicaragua. The intensity of flavor and the boldness are so incredible, it’s unreal. Intense notes of black pepper, baking spice, and sandalwood greet you, followed by cinnamon, vanilla, savory notes, umami, mushrooms, earth, and light sweetness. The cigar’s age takes this blend to the next level.

The only way to obtain the Emerald Knight, the first in the order of five, is to join the OGT Cigar Society. This drop is among the most limited we have had since the beginning of last year.
