It’s back! One of our favorite limited edition cigars from Crowned Heads returns! The Crowned Heads Blood Medicine B Positive Maduro has now gotten a short-run re-release in three different sizes! This magnificent, Crowned Heads Blood Medicine Maduro is a darker, bolder take on one of Crowned Heads’ most unique and limited cigar releases. Built on the original Blood Medicine blend, this version swaps the Ecuadorian Habano wrapper for a Nicaraguan Corojo leaf, creating a richer, fuller-bodied smoking experience. The result is a cigar that retains the original’s balance while adding more depth, strength, and character.

The Blood Medicine story goes back to 2015, when Crowned Heads released an event-only cigar originally called Snake Oil. After running into a trademark issue, the cigar was renamed Blood Medicine, inspired by an old painted advertisement on a historic Nashville building that reads “Blood Medicine.” The cigar returned again in 2022 as another event-only release, this time produced by Eradio Pichardo at the TacaNicsa factory, now known again as D’Hatuey Tabacos S.A. After strong demand, Crowned Heads began releasing limited production runs, and the B Positive version was created when the company experimented with different wrappers and discovered the Nicaraguan Corojo brought a darker and fuller expression to the blend.

As Jon Huber says, “B-Positive was born from experimentation to push the Blood Medicine blend into new territory—darker, meatier, more intense. The response to the initial Toro release in 2025 was overwhelming, and expanding to three sizes allows more of our loyalists to experience this powerful expression in formats that fit different occasions and preferences.”
