Year Of The Neigh Sayer Blended By Tony Barrios Of Stallone Cigars Now Available In Limited Amount!

It is finally available at OGT Cigars! After many requests, we have officially dropped the Stallone X OGT Cigars exclusive Year of the Neigh Sayer at Oak Glen Tobacconist! This is the next installment in the OGT Cigars Lunar Series, crafted for the OGT Cigar Society. This project is always exciting for me, and it’s the third year in a row! The first year went over incredibly well with the Year of the Smokey Lizard Habano, a full-flavored, smooth toro. Last year was the Lancero duo Year of the Nope Rope Habano and Nope Rope San Andres Maduro. Each fits our ‘Neo-Noir’ ‘Retrowave’ branding style, which really makes them pop. This year is my favorite blend of the three years for my personal palate. Being that this Lunar animal is the Year of the Horse, there was only one person we could go to, and that was Tony Barrios of Stallone Cigars.

Stallone Cigars has been a favorite from very early on, thanks to owner and blender Tony Barrios. Tony is a genius when it comes to tobacco and blend creation. We have done a number of exclusives with him, like the Silver Blaze Broadleaf, OGT Cigars Aniversario IV, Stallone Midnight Ride (OGT Cigar of the Year 2024), Bleaker Midwinter, and now this drop! Introducing the Year of the Neigh Sayer! We had a lot of amazing ideas tossed our way, and many of them were really great. My wife, however, had landed on this one while we were designing it, and we both thought we had a home run. We always go with a little tongue-in-cheek/play on words approach to the Lunar Series, and Neigh Sayer seemed like the perfect fit.

Following the success of the Midnight Ride, Neigh Sayer is crafted in the same vitola, a 5.5×54 box-pressed shaggy foot. It boasts a dark Sumatra wrapper. Its dark appearance is attributed to the high ligero priming of the leaf. For years, I had been wanting to do a Sumatra project with Tony. I think he makes incredible Sumatra cigars, and it’s a wrapper we haven’t used with him before. Inside are several ligero leaves for strength. When Tony was blending this, I had asked him to go a similar route as Midnight Ride, making the draw easy, the smoke production strong, and the flavor and body full. He did this in spades! This cigar is powerful, balanced, and rich in flavor.

At the light up there is a whirlwind of pepper spice, leather, and sweetness. As the binder and fillers of the shaggy foot burn into the wrapper leaf, notes of coffee, black pepper, leather, molasses, baking spices, and a sweet finish linger. Bread notes of sourdough, gingersnap cookie, and black tea mingle in there somewhere, too. The intention of this cigar was for a Sumatra that hits hard in body, strength is medium plus, and transition from spicy notes to a balanced bass tone of sweetness and coffee hints- That is what Neigh Sayer delivers.

After releasing it in the OGT Cigars Society, we had some extra that we made available yesterday, 2/5/2026, in honor of hosting Tony Barrios on our live podcast!
