The Stolen Throne Castle 919 Belicoso is the newest cigar in the line from Stolen Throne Cigars, and it is one of my favorites from their portfolio. Wrapped in a beautiful Ecuadorian Habano Claro leaf, the cigar throws a refined, medium-plus profile that is a good balance of flavor, elegance, and intention. From the detailed band to the smooth, composed smoke, Castle 919 reflects the thoughtful blending and storytelling that have become the brand’s hallmark.
Castle 919 is a personal tribute from Lee Marsh, the founder and master blender. 919 in the name stands for the number of the house where he grew up in Baltimore—919—, and it is in honor of his grandfather, who passed ten years ago. The castle figure on the band is taken from the castles of Essex, England, which is a significant reference to Marsh’s roots in Essex, Maryland. Originally, the release was at the 2025 PCA Trade Show. It has a lot of emotional significance, and like most great cigars, holds a great significance. Stolen Throne Castle 919 Belicoso is an incredible cigar with a soul.
Stolen Throne Castle 919, particularly in the 5 x 54 Belicoso size, starts with a flash of black pepper that quickly settles into a smooth coffee and seasoned wood flavor. A next wave of roasted nuts, charred oak barrel, and warm baking spices follows. All these are backed with a slight natural sweetness that keeps the taste profile balanced and easy to the palate. Wrapper Ecuadorian Habano Claro matches perfectly with a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Nicaragua and Peru, delivering a classy experience that is enjoyable without overwhelming the senses.
