American Viking Cigars From Cigars Daily Returns To Oak Glen Tobacconist

American Viking Cigars, the brand that we brought in very early on at OGT Cigars, has finally returned! This brand has a strong history with us, and I am excited to have it return! American Viking Cigars landed at OGT in February 2020, just five months after we opened our doors. It started with a cold call to Tim Swanson, owner of the brand and Cigars Daily. Tim has been an amazing friend, and it’s been a massive blessing to have his guidance through the years. Our community has also taken to the brand, with the Dama Valada winning the 2020 OGT Cigar of the Year and the Liga Zebra Barber Pole winning the 2021 OGT Cigar of the Year. The focus has always been on offering premier boutique brands, giving cigar enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy cigars that may not be as easy to find. American Viking Cigars is one such brand. There are only two places you can find this brand: Cigars Daily and Oak Glen Tobacconist. The brand is comprised of six different blends, all produced at the famed Placensia factory known for crafting Placensia cigars.

NEW American Viking Unkillable. “The newest blend is the American Viking Unkillable Maduro! Blended with uncompromising strength and power! Wrapped in a Nicaraguan Habano Oscuro from the Jalapa Valley, Unkillable is built on an all-Nicaraguan core, featuring a Nicaraguan binder from Estelí and fillers from Ometepe, Condega, Jalapa, and Estelí. The result is a full-bodied blend that balances intensity with refinement, offering a profile of dark chocolate, cocoa, leather, and oak, layered with depth and evolution throughout the smoke. “This is what Dama Valada was originally meant to be back in 2020,” said Tim Swanson, founder of American Viking Cigars. “At the time, we were chasing an oscuro fuerte blend, but the blender created a Habano Rosado that completely swept us off our feet. That cigar became something special—but the original goal stayed with us.”

American Viking Filthy Viking. “The Filthy Viking uses some of the world’s best Honduran tobacco cradled inside a Habano wrapper leaf. The blend produces a brilliant flavor profile with notes of cream, butter, and cedar. These flavors, matched with an unrivaled smoothness, make it our fan’s No. 1 go to cigar.”

American Viking Liga Zebra. “The Liga Zebra Barber Pole was carefully blended with Dominican & Honduran tobacco. It was then wrapped in both Ecuadorian Connecticut & Maduro leafs offset a bit to create a striking barber pole that has become a fan favorite. This mild blend gives a creamy smoking experience with notes of cedar, vanilla, earth, and nuts. Surely it will become a favorite of yours as well.” 

American Viking Box Pressed Rebellion. “The Box Pressed Rebellion, as the name implies, is a dark habano wrapped box-pressed blend that may not be for those establishment type smokers. Using Nicaraguan tobaccos, it produces a fairly full bodied flavor profile with notes of chocolate, wood, earth, and coffee. It will be your go to if you like a little a more robust type cigar.”

American Viking Dama Valada. “The Dama Valada is a flavor bomb that is equaled by no other cigar. This Dark Habano wrapped blend comes with a peppery kick that takes off from light up. American Viking Cigars as a whole is a company that crafts some of the best-tasting cigars, balanced with complexity and nuance.
