OGT Halloween Exclusive Nope Rope Sweet Venom Returns!

Mirco drop, Nope Rope Sweet Venom Lancero returns to Oak Glen Tobacconist! 2025, without a doubt, has been the Year of the Nope Rope. From the start of the year and the first release of Nope Rope Habano, this limited Lancero line has impressed the OGT Cigar Community. From construction to flavor, the Nope Rope Lancero is impressive and incredibly unique. To follow up on the Habano release for the OGT Cigar Society Cigar Of The Month Club, the Nope Rope San Andres Maduro dropped in the summer. While the original holds a special place for me, the Maduro definitely raises the bar. During October, we added a third installment to the series, called Sweet Venom. This is the first Cameroon custom blend we have released. While we didn’t have enough for the Society, it was a micro drop for Halloween that unfortunately sold out too fast! I am happy to say, Nope Rope Sweet Venom is back!

Nope Rope Sweet Venom Lancero is a 7×42 closed-foot, flag-topped Lancero sporting a textured Cameroon wrapper over choice Nicaraguan binder and fillers. As I have heard blenders say, “You can’t hide a blend in a Lancero.” This means that instead of using ‘extra’ fillers in larger ring gauges, a Lancero has a thin gauge, resulting in a higher wrapper-to-filler ratio and a much more challenging blending style. Cameroon tobacco tends to have a sweeter, savory, and earthy quality, and the right balance is needed to ensure it doesn’t lean too heavily on the bitter side. We have created something truly exceptional in this blend.

I love the sweetness, the ‘kettle-corn’ quality, and the savory depth to this blend. At first light, the closed foot gives you a blast of Cameroon flavor in that wrapper leaf, with notes of white pepper, earth, and brilliant sweetness. Experience notes of more pepper spice, a hint of herbal quality, and a touch of sweet corn, reminiscent of kettle corn. Hints of burnt ends follow, accompanied by a complex sweetness that evolves throughout. While the first third eases into the magnitude of flavor and body this cigar has, the second and final are magical; both rich and intense.

As I mentioned, last time, Nope Rope Sweet Venom Cameroon sold out in 48 hours due to the very limited quantity of the blend.
