Every year, Crowned Heads Cigars releases a special edition that blends tradition with artistry. The Crowned Heads Las Calaveras LE 2025 carries that legacy forward with a cigar that is both a tribute and a celebration. Since 2014, the Las Calaveras line has been one of the most anticipated annual releases, honoring those who have passed while offering cigar enthusiasts a new, distinctive smoking experience each year. This year, Las Calaveras 2025 is incredibly more limited than last year’s version!

For 2025, Crowned Heads partnered once again with My Father Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua. This is the 13th edition of Las Calaveras and only the second time the series has featured a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, the last being in 2018. What sets this year apart is the use of a mid-priming wrapper, which gives the cigar a lighter Colorado shade rather than the darker San Andrés maduro typically seen.

As co-founder Jon Huber explains, “What’s unique about this year’s Las Calaveras release is that not only are we utilizing a San Andres cover leaf, but it’s a color grade that most people would not immediately associate with San Andres (Mexico) wrapper. We selected a mid-priming wrapper, which resulted in a lighter Colorado color to the cigar as opposed to the more commonly seen darker maduro shades of Mexican San Andres wrappers used. This particular wrapper really complements the blend and allows for the coffee, espresso, and toffee notes to come to the surface that can typically get lost under the pepper and earth profile that the darker, higher priming wrappers yield.”

On the palate, the Crowned Heads Las Calaveras LE 2025 delivers a smooth yet complex experience.
