AJ Fernandez New World Dorado Cigar

AJ Fernandez is perhaps the most prolific blender in the cigar industry. With a vast portfolio and an endless list of blends for other companies, AJ has become one of the most sought-after blenders. Within his own company, he has his New World line, which, according to him, is AJ’s first collaboration with his Father, Ismael. It is a nod to the discovery of tobacco and its introduction to the rest of the world in 1492. New World comes in a number of different blends, however, his newest release is the AJ Fernandez NEw World Dorado. As the company says, New World Dorado provides a journey inspired by one of the world’s greatest tobacco growing regions. The all Nicaraguan blend is mostly from AJ Fernandez’ Dorado farm, which he aptly named due to its golden texture and taste.

The AJ New World Dorado utilizes tobaccos from AJ’s newest farm in Esteli Nicaragua called El Dorado. The blend sports a ‘golden’ like sun grown Habanio wrapper from Nicaragua. Underneath lies a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Nicaragua. The blend is released in several different sizes:

The cigar is released in beautiful golden ten count boxes. The blend is meant to demonstrate the artistry of New World cigars and the capabilities of AJ’s farms, this one being his newest El Dorado. The blend itself is medium to medium-full, with rich, full notes of black pepper spice, cedar, dried dates, salty crackers, earth, leather, and light sweetness. This is an incredible testimant to AJ’s blending style and brings a full complex experience.
