Cigar Clowns and Chaffiot Cigars Collaboration on ‘Goldie’ Habano

Cigar Clowns X Chaffiot Cigars Goldie Ships out to all OGT Cigar Society members January 22nd 2023

This is one of the most exciting OGT Cigar Society drops to date! Two of the Society’s favorite brands are working together to bring all our OGT Cigar Society members something extra special! We have seen favorites and bangers like Heartbreaker, 5150, Festivus, and King of Clowns come from the Cigar Clowns. From Chaffiot Cigar we have seen the Bloody Knuckle, See No Evil Lonsdale, and Hear No Evil. Both companies have consecutively made it on the top cigars from OGT in 2022 and 2023, Chaffiot taking the one slot in 2022. For this month’s January drop, both companies are teaming up to drop ‘Goldie.’ This is a relationship that started back in the summer of 2023, and finally we get to see the manifestation of it! And the most exciting part? All members of the OGT Cigar Society get the first release, as well as a custom flare!

Goldie is a brilliant looking 5.5×44 Box Pressed Corona Gorda, featuring a silky, oily Habano wrapper over Nicaraguan Binder and Fillers. The flavors on this cigar are insane, ranging from white pepper that transitions into a doughy cinnamon roll, with toasted cashews, leather, a vegetal component, and a palate covering sweetness. The draw and smoke output is what many have come to expect and love from both companies. While the cigar is a medium strength, it’s flavor is full, and has a way of filling the complete palate. This cigar is a ‘nubber’ every time I have smoked it. As Justin Chaffiot, Owner of Chaffiot Cigars says, “I think we are going to wow the cigar community with this cigar.”

According to Joe of the Cigar Clowns, he says, “To let everyone in on a little of the secret, this was originally a Lancero project. And now, this Corona Gorda really took the spotlight.” This is a size that isn’t as commonly seen in the cigar industry, much less a box press version of it. The official release of Goldie is set for the end of February/beginning of March.
