Blind Bunny 2023 OGT Blind Tasting Pack

How many of us see a label on a cigar and make judgments and opinions based on it? If you are like me, labels can affect the decision to smoke a cigar. Whether it is the design or the company, the branding on a stick plays a role. What if that was removed for some of the smoking experiences? That’s where our annual blind tasting pack comes into play. Last year, in April, we released a sampler for Easter under the name Blind Bunny. Much like the October Smoking Monsters pack, the concept is to smoke six different cigars with alternate labels placed over the originals. This way, it removes any preconceived notions about what you are lighting up. In addition to the ‘Blind Bunny’ experience, a few golden eggs are hidden among the packs. With that stated, let me tell you the story of who this Easter Rabbit is and what he is up to.

“The mysterious mythical tobacconist known only to those who dare speak his name as ‘Blind Bunny’ has returned! Just as last year, the mischievous rabbit has scrambled another easter egg hunt from OGT Cigars! Hidden among this treasure trove of eggs are various blends from various manufacturers. It’s time to go hunting. Light, taste, and enjoy each cigar without any preconceived notions about the blends. If you can, try to guess the identity of each cigar. As you smoke through each of these brilliant sticks, peel the covering label off you learn the true identity of each cigar! But wait! There are a few hidden surprises. This wild hare has also stolen a few rare and limited blends from the OGT vault! Five packs are different than the rest! If you receive the ‘golden egg’ ticket within your pack, that means yours has a few highly sought-after cigars different than the others! Happy hunting!”

A limited amount of production was created for Blind Bunny 2023. Each year I look forward to this release because it allows the cigar to be smoked without any judgment or notions being pronounced before lighting it up. In essence, it allows the tobacco to speak. In addition, it is an excellent way to test your palate and see if you might know the true identity before you peel the label off. Each pack is loaded with six amazing cigars that really represent our humidor well, with brands and cigars that have become favorites.
