Foundation Cigars Highclere Castle Senetjer Habano Figurado

Let’s talk prestigious and elegance. Let’s talk about blending style and mastery of the craft. Let’s talk Foundation Cigars. And, of course, you can’t talk about Foundation Cigar Company without talking about the man behind it, Nick Melillo. In 2017, Nick blended and released the first cigar from his Highclere line, the Highclere Castle Edwardian Connecticut. Researching, by way of documentation and receipts, he learned what the family at the Castle smoked at the turn of the century. He recreated the blend using Connecticut, Mata Fina, and Nicaraguan tobacco, paying homage to the family’s style of cigar choice. Two years later, he launched the Maduro version known as the Highclere Castle Victorian. And now, in 2022, in a very limited one-shot only, Foundation is shipping the Highclere Castle Senetjer.

The Foundation Cigar Senetjer was blended to commemorate a few things; the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the tomb of Egyptian pharaoh Tutankhamun and the final cigar in the Highclere Trilogy. The Senetjer boasts a 7th priming Ecuadorian Habano wrapper over, just like the other Highcleres, a Brazilian Mata Fina binder. The Filler on this stunning cigar is undisclosed. Rolled only in one size, a 6.75×52 Figuarado, the Senetjer is shipped in twelve-count boxes. Originally, the intention was to make this cigar available once a year; however, due to tobacco scarcity and production, I was informed that this cigar is a one-and-done. This is perhaps the most limited cigar by Melillo, causing much buzz and anticipation. Due to its limited nature, it is nearly impossible to purchase by the box. And why not? When dealing with such small numbers, why should someone buy a whole box and steal all the fun?
