HVC Cigars has been around for fifteen years without ever releasing a Lancero, which makes this release pretty monumental. The HVC 500 Years Lancero Only Legends measures 7 1/2 x 38 and is made entirely from Nicaraguan tobacco, including a corojo 99 wrapper from Jalapa, a Jalapa binder, and criollo 98 and corojo 99 fillers. It’s part of the HVC 500 Years line, which first came out back in 2019 to mark the 500th anniversary of the founding of Havana, Cuba. HVC 500 Years has since become a regular production blend made at the company’s factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, but this lancero version is anything but ordinary, limited to just 500 boxes of 10 cigars, 5,000 sticks total.
