HDA Cigars Sentinel Limited Edition Headed To OGT Cigar Society Members

The HDA Sentinel is a representation of the ever-watchful eye for much of Zach’s time in the Military. As he puts it, “Last year, Andray and I released Phantom Fury. It was a nod to Andray’s time in Iraq. Sentinel is sort of a nod to my time in the Air Force, and most of my time was spent around surveillance aircraft, the eye in the sky, if you will. Hence the name Sentinel. We used the band and the blend to represent my time in the Air Force. The Rojas factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, crafts the blend. Recently, HDA Cigars moved operations to the factory and has been working closely with Lee Marsh of Stolen Throne Cigars. The blend uses a dark, very dark Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from three regions in Nicaragua: Ometepe, Condega, and Jalapa. The cigar lands in a full-flavored, full-bodied, medium-plus strength profile, which I feel is that sweet spot. Once you light up the Sentinel, the first thing you’ll notice is the sweetness. Rich chocolate and pepper spice come through right away, with notes of dark chocolate, earth, wood, savoriness, and a lingering sweetness.
