There are cigars that are rare, and then there are unicorns. The ladder are those ones you might glimpse once and never see again. While the term has been used on several limited cigars, only Steve Saka produces one with that exact name. And the Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust Muestra de Saka Unicorn is the original blend! There are three blends, two of which, the Brulee Blue Unicorn and the Mi Querida Black Unicorn, followed the success of the original. Here is what he has to say about his newest blend on the Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust Muestra de Saka Unicorn:

“The Grand Daddy of the Unicorn line. This cigar was the original experiment of taking everything involved in creating an ultra-premium, limited-edition cigar to the absolute extreme. The rarest of tobaccos, crazy construction techniques and absurd quality control standards to a factor of 100 while not caring about costs. Earthy, dark chocolate, complex – a sublime treat.”

Released in beautiful natural-wood coffins and placed lovingly in seven-count boxes, the presentation is on point. The size is a 6.25×60 figurado. Wrapped in a dark, ‘Plantation Select’ Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, over a Cultivo Tonto San Andrés Negro binder, and Extra Select 5 Rare Nicaraguan Tobacco fillers, the Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust Muestra de Saka Unicorn is not only a super rare cigar but an elevated selection of premium tobacco. If you see it available, it might be the last time. The only way for a retail shop to offer it in the first place was to attend the PCA trade show and place a specific order to become eligible.
