The story behind this cigar is actually how we first discovered Stolen Throne. Nearly five years ago, a friend stopped by the shop and asked if I had ever heard of Stolen Throne. At the time, I hadn’t, and he handed me a Crook Of The Crown and told me I needed to smoke it. Later that day, between the normal day-to-day shop tasks, I lit it up. About half an inch into the cigar, I immediately looked them up on Instagram, reached out to Lee Marsh, the owner and blender of Stolen Throne Cigars, and told him I needed this cigar in the humidor. Ever since then, we’ve carried this blend, and it’s been a favorite among many customers. As Lee says, Crook Of The Crown is the cigar that started Stolen Throne Cigars.

When it comes to flavor, this cigar is all about rich, smooth tobacco with great balance. Right from the start, you’ll notice earthy and musty notes with just a little white pepper, but the main flavors lean more toward coffee bean, hot cocoa, and leather. As the cigar progresses, a sweet creaminess emerges, along with more coffee notes, a slight floral note, and a nutty finish that reminds some people of pecans. This is a cigar that pairs well with a lot of things — coffee, bourbon, or especially a dark rum, which really brings out the natural sweetness of the San Andrés wrapper.
