Black Label Trading Company has had a big year with limited or new cigars like the Black Works Studio Paper Crane, Orthodox, Bishops Blend, and now the celebration of Morphine 10th Anniversary! James Brown has been cooking up some incredible blends, and this time around, Morphine is not just released in three sizes but four! Three of the vitolas are released in usual twenty-count boxes, while one, the Toro, is placed in a special dress box. Along with having more options, James has added a 5×50 perfecto to the list. To my knowledge this size has never been created for the Morphine blend.
Black Label Trading Morphine is a bold blend with intense complexity and full flavor. The cigar boasts a dual wrapper of San Andres Maduro and Ecuadorian Habano Maduro. Underneath lies a binder and fillers from Nicaragua. It was one of the first limited cigars the brand has ever released and perhaps the most popular. As mentioned, the Morphine 10th Anniversary is available in four sizes:

To commemorate the occasion, Owner and blender James Brown has crafted a few new aspects to the cigar. James says, “To celebrate 10 years of Morphine I wanted to do a mix of classic vitolas and a couple we’ve never done before. The classic Robusto and Lancero are being released with a Petite Perfecto and Box Pressed Toro. The idea behind the Perfecto was to create a vitola that represents the Death’s Head Moth’s chrysalis. The Toro shows how versatile the blend is and how well it works in a larger format vitola. This vitola is also being released in a “Dressed Box” format. Each has the dual San Andrés & Ecuadorian Maduro wrappers. This vintage of Morphine is sure to be one of the best.”
This release, however, is the smallest and most limited of the year! Allocation on this cigar has been half what Orthodox or Bishops Blend has been. They are running out quickly due to small numbers.
