Irish Cream OGT Cigars Exclusive

This is an interesting one. While Bleak Midwinter owns the title for OGT Saint Patrick’s Day exclusive, there is a very special cigar I came across that I had to offer this holiday. Saint Patrick’s Day cigars have always been known as the barber pole smoking holiday. Cigars like Filthy Hooligan and Shamrock by Alec Bradley have been made famous, however, they are not the only tri-colored cigars in town. Let me introduce you to the Irish Cream. This is a special barber pole I came across, and instantly fell in love with. From the flavor, the construction, and over all performance of this cigar, it is very impressive. Offered in two sizes, a 6.5×54 Sublime and a 6×60 Gran Toro, this very limited blend offers a unique, incredible journey.

Wrapped in three leaves, the Irish Cream boasts a wrapper of San Andres Maduro, Ecuadorian Connecticut, and Candela. I mean, if it’s a St. Paddy’s Day stick, there is gonna be some green in there. Both binder and fillers are from Nicaragua. This combination of tobaccos brings a dynamic flavor but not at war with each other. The overall smoking experience is incredibly harmonious. The Sublime size has been aged for a full year and the Gran Toro nearly half that long. The age brings a maturity to the blend that really makes it shine.

At light up, there is a woody, earthy component, accompanied by a light grassiness, a warm cookie crust, and light sweetness. As this cigar burns, further notes of almonds, a doughy hint, heavy cream, and something I might classify as the candy known as Boston baked beans. There is definite sweetness but it’s not in your face. I think the creamy element in this cigar, accompanied by the nuttiness works well in tandem. When I smoked it, I immediately felt this cigar is not only one that deserves to be smoked, but I found myself wanting another. While strength is mild, it had a smooth medium body, and a fullness of flavor. The OGT Irish Cream is offered exclusively through Oak Glen Tobacconist, is available now, however, in extreme short supply. the one year of age limited the availability severely. Check out this creamy, sweet delight and pair it with your favorite St. Paddy’s Day drink!
