Espinosa Cigars just dropped a bomb, as in La Bomba Warhead IX. This anticipated line has been released once a year since 2013. While the vitolas and blends have varied, the concept of Espinosa 601 La Bomba has always remained the same; a heavy hitting, full-bodied cigar packed with flavor. This year’s release is no different. Wrapped in a dark, Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and fillers, the Warhead is a 6×56 Perfecto. The 2023 La Bomba Warhead IX is rolled at AJ Fernandez’s San Lotano factory in Nicaragua.
According to Erik Espinosa, Owner and Blender of Espinosa cigars, he says, “You know it’s PCA time when Warhead appears. Year in and year out, our customers look forward to this release. It’s a great cigar, in yet another great vitola.” However, as a way of a teaser, this year’s drop is before the PCA trade show! In fact, it is available now.
Each cigar is placed in 10 count boxes. True to form, the Espinosa 601 La Bomba Warhead IX has only 5,000 boxes produced, a very limited run for Espinosa. If you are a fan of that stronger but balanced experience, I would advise you to pick up a 5 pack or even a 10 count box while they last. This year’s Warhead is a Banger!
