The newest line from Aganorsa Leaf Cigars is coming soon to Oak Glen Tobacconist. Known for their success with Corojo 99 and Criollo 98 tobacco, Aganorsa is one of the industry’s biggest suppliers of Nicaraguan tobacco. The two tobaccos are hybrids of an original Corojo seed from Cuba and the primary ingredients in all their blends. While special blends like Supreme Leaf lean heavily into the Corojo 99 side, others like the Rare Leaf Reserve are more Criollo 98 dominant. Now Aganorsa is adding to that special line! Available at only their select retailers, allow me to introduce the new, up-and-coming Aganorsa rare Leaf Reserve Maduro.
According to Terence Rielly of Aganorsa, he says, “When we launched Rare Leaf in 2021, the idea was to provide our retail partners who make the commitment to our Aganorsa Select Program with a special blend they would have exclusivity on. Due to the success of the original release, we are adding Rare Leaf Maduro, a truly powerful expression of Aganorsa tobacco and one I haven’t experienced before. This blend will make you sit up and pay attention while smoking or, as we say at Aganorsa, validating.”
Launching in three sizes; a 5.25×54 Robusto, 6×52 Belicoso, and 6×54 Toro, the Aganorsa Leaf Rare Leaf Reserve Maduro will be available in 15 count boxes. The blend consists of a chocolate-looking Mexican San Andres wrapper over a binder and fillers from Jalapa and Esteli Nicaragua. This cigar will be available next week. I had the opportunity to smoke one at the TPE 2023 trade show. While it is difficult to focus on the tobacco at a trade show, I remember certain aspects of the cigar I loved. I picked up on some deep notes like cocoa, mesquite wood, white pepper, and the most dominant smores. This is a very exciting cigar to be coming to the market, and I caution you to keep an eye out for it! Get ready because the Aganorsa Leaf Rare Leaf Reserve Maduro is coming soon!
