OGT Cigar Society Tyler Durden by Proscrito Cigars

At the beginning of 2022, I said that OGT Cigars is on a mission. We are now starting to see that come to fruition. The July drop for the OGT Cigar Society comes from a smaller cigar company, but one with much to offer. Many months ago, I tasted a cigar that sported a rustic, wrinkled San Andres wrapper. Looks were definitely deceiving. I am definitely one who enjoys a textured wrapper leaf, I love the impending flavors it suggests. However, this one looked like it had been dragged through the dirt, lightly shook off, and wrapped. But the flavor had so much to offer in terms of uniqueness, complexity, and dynamic range that I had to know more.

I am speaking none other than the Limited Edition Tyler Durden from Proscrito cigars. This rich-tasting San Andres leaf encases a Criollo 98 binder over Dominican Fillers. Its strength is found in the medium to medium-plus and the body is full. The most tantalizing part of this cigar was the uniqueness of the wrapper leaf, hence I wanted to create a custom vitola. The size is paired down to a 50 gauge, creating more wrapper to filler ratio. The length is also somewhat shortened to a five and a half inches, to add to the robust attack of flavor. The head of the cigar showcases a pigtail in cigar tradition. And at the foot, the wrapper leaf closes, so that you can jump straight into lighting it without toasting. This enables you to experience the San Andres at full throttle.
