Privada Cigar Club has produced some amazing blends over the years from various makers. One such cigar is the Good Life V2 by Brian Desind. The label is somewhat unassuming, with a neutral pink shade on the face and black and white striped accents. Created in the JC Newman Factory, the Good Life is wrapped in a gorgeous Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, with the binder and fillers from Nicaraguan and Dominican. The oily shine from the cigar catches the light just right and implies the deep flavors you will get from this cigar. At the first third, it is sweet, with earth, cocoa, wood, and slight leather. The draw and burn impress greatly.

The second third ramps up in strength, and many of the flavors intensify. More bittersweetness on the chocolate side, and if there was any hint of pepper it’s gone now. The Good Life by Brian Desind is a perfect balance of smooth and clean on the palate while being full in flavor and body. Many get the concept of body and strength mixed, however, the distinction in this blend is clear. The body of smoke is full while the strength and nicotine are medium.
