Nick Melillo, creator, and blender of Foundation Cigar Company has announced another special addition to his portfolio. Foundation Cigar has just released the David and Goliath short perfecto vitolas in the Havana Seed blend. Originally, these special sizes were seen in his Broadleaf Tabernacle released October 2020. Now he has capped the twin blends off by adding the perfectos to the Havana blends, and they are spectacular!
Placed in 25 count boxes, the David is a smaller 5×54 while the Goliath is a 5×58. Tapered on both ends, the short perfecto almost resembles what you would see from Drew Estate’s Privada Ferel Flying Pig. Wrapped in the highly fermented Havana 142 leaf, and bound with a Mexican San Andreas, the cigars deliver a punch of flavor like no other!
Nick Melillo was quoted to say that the relevance of David and Goliath pertains to the present day, saying, “Especially in the handmade cigar industry. We have been battling the Goliath that is FDA regulations and we were fortunate to come out with a victory last year.”
