I apologize; as much as I wish this was a review, it is not. The cigar in question, the Cigabon by Jochy Blanco, arrives next week. As I have told our regulars, I play fair, and I won’t try it until our official tasting night. However, it doesn’t mean I can speak on it.
Jochy Blanco is a fourth-generation tobacco farmer in the DR. He might be best known for his brand La Galera, a premium cigar portfolio that smokes way above its price point. His recent partnering of Privada Cigar Club and the LCA is definitely one to note. It is with great anticipation that Oak Glen Tobacconist will be receiving the Cigabon this Friday (Feb. 5th). Contact us for your spot on the tasting! The cigar is a 5×50 Robusto, sporting an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper, Jacagua Criollo 98 binder, and Dominican Fillers. I have been told the flavors are light, sweet, creamy, with hints of cinnamon spice.
I can’t wait to try this cigar, and we will be releasing it with an official tasting Friday Night at 6pm. This event is RSVP with VERY limited spots. Make sure you contact us for your spot. We will also have a few online for purchasing, details to come.
Thanks again, and thank you to Jochy for this masterpiece arriving to Oak Glen Tobacconist!
