According to Viaje Cigars, “As a new line takes shape, the artwork and packaging move through countless ideas, drafts, variations, and revisions before the final design is chosen. Some concepts evolve into what you eventually see on the shelf. Others never make it past the cutting-room floor. But that doesn’t mean they weren’t great. Over the years, we’ve accumulated an archive of artwork that we loved—designs that were strong enough to become the final package, but for one reason or another, took a different path. Alternate Artwork was created to give those designs their moment. This new series reaches into the VIAJE archives and brings previously unused artwork to life, offering a glimpse into the creative process behind some of our releases and showcasing what might have been”
