HDA Cigars Virtual Herf Sampler Pack

HDA Cigars, standing for ‘Hermanos De Armas’, which translates to Brother’s in Arms, is a somewhat new brand to Oak Glen Tobacconist. It is owned by two Veterans, Zack Van Ginkel and Andray F. McCuien. I was first intrigued when I heard their cigars were produced at the Oveja Negra Factory under the guidance of James Brown. Oveja Negra is the Fabrica that creates Black Label Trading Company, Black Works Studio, Dissident Cigars, and Emilio Cigars. HDA Cigars are by no means mild and light, while there is a rich balance to them all, they tend to have a fuller body and flavor. According to the bio on HDA, they state, “HDA was born when Andray and Zack set off on a journey to create bold flavor from the world’s best tobacco. In everything they do, they never lose site of their military roots.” While each cigar boasts a Nicaraguan Binder and Nicaraguan fillers, each cigar is vastly unique.

There are three different blends, all produced in one size: a 6×54 Parejo Toro. The grey banded Descending Shadows is a medium to full Ecuadorian Sungrown wrapper that gives this cigar a dark, spicy flavor. Each draw beckons to explore the depths of its mysterious flavor, leaving behind a lingering aura of fascination long after the last ember fades. The black band Cataclysm is wrapped in an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, blending the earthy richness of Ometepe with the fiery intensity of Condega, evoking a dark and powerful symphony on the palate. Lastly, the white band Veiled Mutiny is their Ecuadorian Maduro blend, delivering a bold complexity that defies expectations and leaves a lasting impression of defiance and satisfaction. Prepare for the clandestine uprising of flavor that is Veiled Mutiny.
