Cigar Clowns Cigars have consecutively been on the OGT Cigars top ten list. Their two latest releases, the Cigar Clowns Rodeo Clown and Cigar Clowns Festivus 2024, have been incredible blends and very well received. The Cigar Clowns Rodeo Clown, released in June of 2024, was so well received it won the third spot in the top ten. Initially, our community got to experience it first in the OGT Cigar Society when the Clowns were able to send it to our members as a way of a pre-release. The Rodeo Clown brings rich, deep notes with a complex full flavor.
According to Joe and Ray, they stated, “This is the final version of the clown labs Sumatra cigar that the OGT Cigar Society was able to get their hands on previously. They were part of the process of the Cigar Clowns Rodeo Clown. The Blend is an Ecuadorian Sumatra, with a double binder of Brazilian and Nicaragua, and Nicaraguan filler.” Joe also said he was happy they got to work with master blender Tony Barrios of Stallone Cigars and his factory in Nicaragua. “The name comes from the fact we wanted to pay homage to Tony’s love of Horses, and we found it fitting to call it “The Rodeo Clown.”
This excellent 6×54 Toro produces a chimney of smoke coupled with intense flavor. Specific notes that stuck out to me are that signature spice from Sumatra and Nicaragua play nicely with each other. I taste a fair amount of earth, coffee, sandalwood, toasted nuts, and hints of sweetness. This cigar is very rich and full in flavor and body, and somewhere in that medium to medium full in strength. The aging of this cigar really makes the tobacco marry together nicely.
Above all the other blends this year, the OGT Cigar Community awarded Rodeo Clown as the #3 Cigar of the Year. If you have had the opportunity to try this fantastic cigar, you understand why so many love this cigar. Light one up and enrich your palate with the diverse flavors of Cigar Clowns Rodeo Clown.
