AJ Fernandez is perhaps the most prolific blender of our current time. From blending cigars for more prominent brands like Montecristo, H. Upmann, Diesel, and beyond, he has had his hand in many different projects. However, some of our favorites here at OGT Cigars come from his own brand. Lines like Bellas Artes, Dia de Gloria, and New World stand out among the greats in the world of cigars. Earlier this year he released the NEW Dias de Gloria Brazil, a follow up to his original Habano, but this new one being a dark, mata Fina Maduro wrapper. The Brazilian wrapper is an incredible, full flavored treat. However, AJ isn’t finished yet, he is now shipping his ultimate creation for 2024; the AJ Fernandez 20th Anniversary Toro 6×56.
This extra special project uses some of the finest tobaccos at his disposal. Released in two sizes, the AJ Fernandez 20th Anniversary comes in a limited 6×56 Toro and an even more limited Humidor Belicoso size. The Belicoso is only available if you purchase the 50-count humidor they arrive in, which retails over $850. The standard size is a 6×56 Toro at a bit more reasonable price. Much of the blend is unknown, however, from what I can tell, it sports a high priming Habano seed hybrid wrapper. The leaf nearly looks dark enough to be a Maduro but that is unconfirmed. Underneath lies a binder and fillers all from Nicaragua. AJ has access to some of the best tobaccos in the world, and you can be sure he has used some of his best for his company’s Anniversary. The Toro is limited to only 750 numbered boxes and the Humidor 250.
This cigar is currently available to pre-order before it soon hits the shelf. AJ Has always been a favorite at Oak Glen Tobacconist, and we are super excited to experience the cigar that represents two decades of dedication to the craft. Don’t miss his newest project and experience AJ Fernandez at his best!
