After the success of Robert Caldwell’s Long Live The Queen Cameroon, he has followed it up with the Maduro version; Long Live the Queen Maduro. The previous version appeared on many ‘top cigar’ lists last year. This new cigar is wrapped in a dark San Andres Maduro wrapper over a multi-country blend. The new version is dark but not heavy. It has an incredible balance while maintaining an approachable strength level. Caldwell has always blended for flavor over strength, and the elegant creation of this Maduro echoes that idea.
According to Robert Caldwell, he says, “The first new Caldwell cigar to come out of the brand new Tabacalera William Ventura factory, these beauties feature a gorgeous Mexican Maduro wrapper with an Indonesian Sumatra binder and a special filler blend of top-tier leaf from the Dominican Republic and the U.S. As many of you know, I’m typically not a fan of Maduro cigars, but I’ve smoked a whole box of these sultry beauties back-to-back. It’s like eating a steak with a chocolate bar on top and washing it down with a Cuban coffee. Hands down one of the best cigars we’ve ever made, so don’t miss your chance to grab these bad girls while they’re hot.”
Available in various sizes, the two impressive ones to me are the Caldwell Long Live the Queen Maduro Queen’s Chalice (6×54) and Caldwell Long Live the Queen Maduro Wild Card Box Pressed (6×52). Like the previous release, the cigar is available in ten count boxes. The Caldwell Long Live the Queen Maduro is available now! After it flew off too quickly, Oak Glen Tobacconist has it back in stock!
