Oak Glen Tobacconist Launches Craft Series with Stulac Broadleaf

Here at Oak Glen Tobacconist, we have always tried to educate everyone about tobacco and the cigar-making process. The new craft series is a continuation of that, but turing it up a few notches. I am excited to announce the official launch of ‘Oak Glen Tobacconist Craft Series’. This is more than just a pack of cigars; it’s an experience. I highly recommend this for anyone’s cigar journey. The series will highlight different tobaccos in each pack. It will include anywhere from 5 to 6 different blends using the selected tobacco from various cigar makers. By taking the time to go through each, I hope the experience will teach you about the nature of the tobacco and how is can vary depending on where it is grown, where it is produced, and who blended it.

Included in every pack is our exclusive OGT tasting Wheel. This will hopefully assist you in picking out flavor notes. From references ranging from spices, herbs, fruits, floral notes, coffee, and beyond, the chart helps you identify specific notes while you enjoy the cigar. Along with our wheel is our historical reference card that includes quotes from blenders, information on the tobacco, and a QR code that will direct you to each blend and what they are.

This first release, the Craft Series: Connecticut Broadleaf, is an exciting launch for us. I love Connecticut Broadleaf tobacco and how it is used in our industry. While it is not the easiest to get a hold of, and certainly not the most affordable, it offers unique and deep flavor like none other. To make this pack extra special, I have included an unreleased project cigar we have crafted with legendary blender Paul Stulac. This is a gorgeous 6×54 Box Pressed Toro featuring a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, and fillers from Nicaragua. This cigar will later make it’s debut in our exclusive membership, the OGT Cigar Society. However, while it is processing through aging, I thought it would be awesome for people to have the opportunity to try it! This is sort of an organic way to see a glimpse of the blending process. This special project is available no where else.
