The newest release to join the El Pulpo line is a 4×48 Gordita that Artesano Del Tobacco has named ‘The Fry.’ Using the same blend as the original, this new addition is packed with flavor immediately from Light Up. Just as the other sizes, the El Pulpo The Fry uses a Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper, over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers. The blend is produced by AJ Fernandez in Nicaragua. The El Pulpo Cigar has gotten high praise from cigar lovers across America, including Cigar Aficionado who gave it their top #10 rating last year.
According to the owners of Artesano Del Tobacco, Guss and Billy, they said the following about the new cigar: “Celebrating the success of the EL Pulpo blend with its high ratings, we wanted to create a size that the market is looking for, which can work with the EL Pulpo blend. The Gorditas idea came from our friend Brad Seiderer of AJ Fernandez, a sales rep for the Northeast, who suggested the size and the name. By doing that we were able to celebrate and highlight this very well aged San Andreas Maduro wrapper.”
Aside from the cigar, the five-pack packaging is pretty impressive. Each pack includes a slide top lid with a striker. If you place matches in the lid, you have the opportunity to take the box anywhere and have a source of lighting it up! Four of the packs are shipped in a box/case, making each case hold twenty cigars. El Pulpo the Fry offers the same rich, mature experience the original El Pulpo cigars do, but with a smaller time commitment.
