Each year, Espinosa Cigars produces a limited ‘one off’ of their famous collaboration with Guy Fieri Knuckle Sandwich. The limited production has taken the name Chef’s Special. Last year, the blend featured a Sumatra wrapper in a Figurado shape. This year, Espinosa has crafted a heavy-hitting Maduro in their exclusive Oval shape. This is one of the more anticipated, annual releases from Espinosa cigars. The original blend featured a Habano wrapper, but the company wanted to dive deeper into a darker wrapper this year. The Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich Chef’s Special 2024 is wrapped in a rustic Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro leaf.
According to the company’s head of operations, Hector Alfonso, he says, “Every year, we offer a new Chef Special, this year we took a break from the box-pressed figurado and went with the oval soft press, which has become not only a favorite of mine but with many Knuckle Sandwich smokers, This cigar will not disappoint!”
Espinosa Knuckle Sandwich Chef’s Special 2024 showcases the Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers. The vitola is a 6×54 ‘oval’, resembling a soft box press. While it is blended by Espinosa, AJ Fernandez handles its production at his San Lotano factory in Ocotal, Nicaragua. The Chef’s Special 2024 was shown at the PCA trade show and is now available! Packaged in an eye-catching, blue shade of the Knuckle Sandwich logo, the cigar is placed in ten-count boxes. This is easily one of my favorite releases from the trade show, and I have been counting down the days until it finally arrived. In terms of my palate, this blend is my favorite Chef’s Special so far.
Don’t wait to pick up this highly limited cigar. As I understand it, Espinosa has already shipped them all out. Once these are gone, they are gone.
