Translated as ‘Thousand Days’ Mil Dias utilizes a Nicaraguan Habano wrapper. Released several years ago, the label of Mil Dias is an icon of Crowned Heads Cigars. Co-founder of Crowned Heads, John Huber, has crafted a superb portfolio of flavor-forward cigars made both in the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. This new release, the Mil Dias Maduro, is one of the most anticipated cigars they have released.

According to Huber, he says, “Mil Días Maduro is an extension to the original Mil Días brand that we announced back in July of 2020. What’s important to note, however, is that the Maduro blend is not simply a re-tread of the original blend where we just swapped the wrapper leaf out. Mil Días Maduro is an all-new blend from the outside to the inside that we felt was worthy of bearing the Mil Días brand name. We began working on the Mil Días Maduro blend with Eradio Pichardo in the summer of 2023. The result is a cigar with a flavor profile that is dense and lush, layered with notes of dark chocolate, baking spices, with excellent structure and a pepper component that is most noticeable on the retro-hale.”

The Mil Dias Maduro is wrapped in a very oily, dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, over an Ecuadorian Habano binder, and a collection of fillers from Jalapa, Condega, and Ometepe. Released in several different sizes, the Sublime is a 6×54, essentially a toro. It bears the original Mil Dias label, mounted with a gold foil Crowned Heads foot band.
