Aganorsa is known for flavor, and when it comes to Connecticut cigars, they make some of the most interesting in the market. Within their portfolio, they have a line named Aniversario. Three different blends were crafted to commemorate their success in the industry. With a Corojo, Maduro, and their newest blend, the Aganorsa Leaf Aniversario Connecticut, they have a trio all worthy of their recognition. Sweet. Creamy. Silky. Smooth. These are some of the words that come to mind when I think of their new shade wrapped cigar. This is the ‘cream’ of the crop. Using high primings of their Nicaraguan gorwn binder and fillers, they wrap this cigar in a beautiful, light shade.
Terence Reilly of Aganorsa says, “The Aniversario Series is our Ultra-Premium expression of Aganorsa. Between the gorgeous presentation, the beauty of the Connecticut wrapper, and the quality of the blend, we feel Aniversario Connecticut will join the Corojo and Maduro editions and become one of our best sellers.” I think the first time I sampled this cigar I lit it up and about half an inch in I placed my order. It offers a lot of bright tones like citrus, toasted nuts, vanilla, cedar, and light, white pepper transition within a sweet, creamy experience.
The combinations from Aganorsa’s signature flavor off Corojo 99 and Criollo 98 tobaccos mixed with a high grade Connecticut shade wrapper complement each other beautifully! And if you want to talk about coffee pairings? I am a fan of most things Aganorsa paired with a flavorful black coffee. You put the sweetness and creaminess of this Aniversario with one and you have a match made in heaven. While the coffee brings depth and bass notes, you get the contrast of lighter, creaminess from this cigar. This is a pair that definitely recommend of you have the opportunity!
