There are cigars that are rare and then there are unicorns. The ladder are those ones you might glimpse once and never see again. While the term has been used on several different limited cigars, only Steve Saka produces one with the actual name. Originally a part of the Muestra de Saka line, the Dunbarton Unicon cigar has gotten a face lift as well as a new composition. Earlier this year Steve announced the coming of the Brulee Blue Unicorn and the Mi Querida Black Unicorn. This is a departure from the Muestra line and instead takes one of Steve’s most loved and sought after blends and turns it up. Here is what he has to say about his newest blend on the Dunbarton Unicorn Mi Querida Black:
“Robust, rich, and decadently satisfying, our Limited Production Mi Querida Black liga is already at the apex of broadleaf cigars, so this stunning diademas is the ultimate king of the jungle.” Says Saka. “It begins so chocolatey smooth adding lush tastes of coffee and spice with the inherent earthy, broadleaf sweetness from its oscuro capa to then climax with a satisfyingly full-bodied blast of black pepper. If I were a gazillionaire, I would smoke one of these every day of my life.”
Released in a beautiful ten count, piano finish box, and placed lovingly into separate coffins, the presentation is on point. The size of is a 6.25×60 figurado. Wrapped in a dark, oily Connecticut Broadleaf Wrapper – Grade A++ Connecticut Broadleaf No. 1 Darks wrapper, over a Cultivo Tonto San Andreas Negro binder, and Extra Select Nicaragua, Honduras, Dominican Republic in the filler, the unicorn is not only a super rare cigar but an elevated selection of premium tobacco. If you see it available it might be the last time. The only way for a retail shop to offer it in the first place was to attend the 2023 PCA trade show and put in a certain order to become eligible. I am happy to say, Oak Glen Tobacconist was able to and we have a just a few more left. Order the new Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust Unicorn Mi Querida Black and experience what a Unicorn tastes like.
