Perhaps the most anticipated Warped cigar of the year, the legendary La Colmena Maduro returns. Warped Black Honey is a sought after cigar for Warped fans and cigar aficionados alike. It has been released twice in limited production, and this year’s version has some new things added. Unlike previous editions, the Black Honey 2023 is a 5×48 belicoso and shipped in ten count boxes instead of bundles. While most of Warped Cigars are produced at Aganorsa’s factory in Nicaragua, this line is blended at El Titan de Bronze in Miami.
For those who are ‘Warped-heads’ they know the ins and outs of Kyle Gellis’ cigars. According to him, this cigar has some unique twists about it. Kyle says, “Black Honey is the interior blend of the La Colmena Unico Especial with the wrapper of El Oso Papa.” The blend is a Ecuadorian Maduro over an Ecuadorian Binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua.
Originally, Warped Black Honey was only sold at seventeen different stores back in 2013. The second iteration expanded. While this sought after release has a bigger production now, Gellis has also stated this is the last time we will see Black Honey for at least six years. These are in extreme short supply, so don’t hesitate to pick them up when you see them. Once they are gone it will be some time before they return.
