It is back. Dunbarton Tobacco and Trust PapaSaka Mi Querida Black has finally returned. I am not going to say this is a ‘limited edition,’ but the scarcity of this cigar makes it limited. If there is one thing Steve Saka consistently does is create amazing cigars, and too much demand for them. When you see them, don’t pass them up. Later this year you will see blends like Krakatoa, Polpetta, and Red Meat Lovers. This is a big year for Dunbarton Cigars, and the excitement is building.
Released at the 2023 PCA Trade Show, Steve Saka had been teasing this cigar for some time. “Mi Querida Black PapaSaka Measures 5 5/8 x 48 of crazy US Grown Connecticut Broadleaf goodness.” Says Saka. “All of my children are great, love each of them, but this -one- right now is the absolute apple of my eye.” Wrapped in a gorgeous Connecticut Broadleaf, Mi Querida Black has a Nicaraguan Binder and fillers from Nicaragua, Honduras, and USA.
Pick up yours while they are still here. While I love the larger version called SakaKhan, I think I like this more ‘manageable’ version better. The flavor is more to the point and immediate. When you light this cigar up, you instantly experience the nature of this blend in a full format. I have always been a fan of his Connecticut Broadleaf duo – Mi Querida and Mi Querida Triqui Traca, and the New Mi Querida Black brings a special sweetness to the trilogy.
