Yesterday, articles were published all over cigar review websites about the major victory premium cigars won over the ever-persistent regulations from the FDA. Judge Amit P. Mehta of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled a favorable outcome for premium cigars, vacating the regulations proposed over seven years ago. What does this mean? All premium cigars that meet the criteria of being a ‘premium cigar’ are no longer subject to the FDA’s laws. The Judge ruled that the organization’s handling of the Cigar Industry was “arbitrary and capricious”.
Under the support and leadership of The Premium Cigar Association (PCA), Cigar Rights of America (CRA), and Cigar Association of America (CAA), the victory over a battle well over a decade has finally happened. Today, cigar smokers across America are lighting up celebratory cigars to symbolize the great victory. Huge gratitude goes out to all those who have spent their time, money, and professional experience in this fight. This is a historical moment for anyone who calls themself a cigar smoker.
From Oak Glen Tobacconist in California, thank you.
