Let’s take a little departure from the norm. Earlier this year, as a part of the OGT Cigar Society, we sent out the Dissident Home 2023 limited Box Press Toro. This cigar sported a dark barber pole wrapper over a mixed country binder and filler. It was such a hit we had to look into the newest blend from Dissident Cigars. At the recent PCA 2023 trade show, they followed up the Home 2023 with the NEW ReVolt Robusto. There are various similarities that the Revolt cigar and Home have in common, such as it being a limited run and a barber pole.

Wrapped in an Ecuadorian Corojo and Maduro combination, the Revolt Robusto uses an Ecuadorian binder and fillers from Nicaragua. The revolt measures a traditional 5×50. I had the opportunity to smoke this gem at the trade show, and I felt it packed a bigger punch than the previous Home release. This cigar will be available shortly, so keep an eye out! Oveja Negra always has amazing things; the new Dissident Revolt was one of the favorites I had the opportunity to try.
