The long wait is almost over! Black Label Trading Company is releasing the La Madonna Negra cigar, the blend that commemorates its 10th anniversary. I first heard about this release at the beginning of the year, and I have eagerly awaited its arrival. James Brown, creator of Black Label Trading Co. and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra., made the following press release:
“La Madonna Negra is hand crafted at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua. La Madonna Negra is a culmination of things I’ve learned over the last decade of cigar making. It’s a cigar that not only represents Black Label but also represents who I am today as a cigar maker. It’s bold, as a BLTC cigar should be, but, it’s also very refined and elegant. It has layers of complexity and a very unique profile. A mixture of different spice elements combines with aromatic floral notes to create something unexpected. I’m very proud of the result,.”
The Black Label Trading La Madonna Negra is wrapped in a dark, textured Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper over an Ecuadorian Habano binder and fillers from Nicaragua and Pennsylvania. It is released in three different sizes; A 4.5×48 Rothschild Box Press, a 5.5×50 Corona Gorda Box Press, and a 5×54 Robusto Box Press. Placed in beautiful 20-count boxes, the La Madonna Negra will be available this coming week. For all the Black Label fans or even Maduro fans, I would advise jumping on the cigar when it appears. Unfortunately, the allocation is very small. This new cigar from Black Label seems perfect to celebrate a decade of amazing cigars.
Oak Glen Tobacconist will be opening pre-orders on this cigar this week. Keep an eye out for it!
